Hyderabad: In a concerted effort to ensure the integrity and accessibility of the electoral rolls, Asaduddin Owaisi, president of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM), directed party leaders on Wednesday to actively support voters during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process in Telangana. This initiative aims to prevent any eligible voter from being disenfranchised due to procedural complexities or lack of awareness, according to AIMIM sources.
The meeting, held with party legislators, emphasized the importance of maintaining democratic rights and ensuring that every eligible voter remains on the electoral rolls. Detailed discussions centered around ground-level challenges and immediate attention was called for issues identified by the legislators. Owaisi visited Santosh Nagar colony in the Yakutpura assembly constituency to personally engage voters and raise awareness about the SIR process.

The SIR process, scheduled from June 25 to July 24, involves house-to-house verification. This rigorous procedure is a crucial step in updating and verifying the electoral rolls of Telangana citizens.
