Adilabad: In a recent development, Gaddam Vamsi Krishna, Member of Parliament from Peddapalli, criticized Andhra Pradesh's Deputy Chief Minister, Pawan Kalyan, for his perceived silence on comments by BJP MP Tejasvi Surya regarding Telangana. Speaking to the media, Vamsi Krishna questioned why Kalyan did not respond to Surya's controversial remarks comparing Telangana favorably with Pakistan and criticized his political party's past stance during the Telangana statehood movement.
'Where was Pawan Kalyan when unemployed youth and students sacrificed their lives for a separate Telangana and when rulers were suppressing the aspirations of its people?' Vamsi Krishna posed. He further alleged that Kalyan's stance on Telangana has been inconsistent, highlighting his political alliances with parties that had opposed statehood.
'The people of Telangana will not accept leaders acting for personal gains and will not compromise their interests,' he emphasized.
