Chandrababu Naidu Defends Pawan Kalyan Amid Tension in Andhra Pradesh

Andhra Pradesh's Chief Minister, N Chandrababu Naidu, recently defended his deputy chief minister, Pawan Kalyan, during a media conference in Amaravati. The political veteran clarified the necessity for unity and development over divisive rhetoric, emphasizing that genuine progress transcends regional boundaries.

Focus on Constructive Politics

Chief Minister Naidu highlighted the importance of focused political efforts on public welfare and governance. He argued against divisive sentiments by critics from Telangana, who accused AP leaders of 'intrusions' into their territory. The CM underlined that such divisions are inappropriate 12 years after the state bifurcation.

Recounting his recent visit to Tamil Nadu, Naidu noted political leaders from neighboring states often campaign together in a democratic process. He pointed out how Telugus have thrived globally in key leadership roles, showcasing the cross-state collaboration and unity that can be achieved outside of divisive politics.

The government's recruitment initiatives and appointment processes were also defended against irregularities claims. Naidu insisted on transparent practices through bodies like District Selection Committee (DSC) and emphasized fair hiring as a fulfillment of election promises.

Naidu took to task the opposition, particularly in Andhra Pradesh, accusing them of disseminating misinformation and engaging in destructive politics instead of constructive governance.

Addressing social media campaigns against his government, Naidu alleged that they were part of an orchestrated effort to tarnish public perception. He maintained that transparent recruitment would withstand scrutiny despite such efforts.

Allocating Funds for Development and Wellness

In response to critiques about allocating Rs 10 crore for the Yoga Andhra program, Naidu underscored how the government prioritized developmental initiatives without political motives, suggesting these criticisms stem from baseless allegations aimed at discrediting transparent processes.
