Visakhapatnam, May 21: Home minister Vangalapudi Anitha on Sunday oversaw preparations for the upcoming TD Mahanadu slated to take place from May 27-28. The event will be organized in over 1,800 clusters across Visakhapatnam, with dedicated venues set up in Payakaraopeta.
Focus on Organizational Efficiency and Austerity
Anitha emphasized the importance of efficient organization, highlighting that 10 venue locations will host six-hour sessions in both days. The decision to conduct Mahanadu in a hybrid format follows Prime Minister Narendra Modi's call for austerity measures, which include reducing the number of vehicles in convoys by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Minister Nara Lokesh.
During her inspection tour, Anitha visited Kalyana Mandapams and logistics centers to ensure meticulous planning before the event. She also unveiled a Mahanadu poster at her residence in Nakkapalli, describing it as 'the grandest festival of the TD family.'
In Payakaraopeta constituency, she distributed Chief Minister's Relief Fund cheques and offered condolences to families in Peda Gummuluru village. Anitha expressed satisfaction over the establishment of a steel plant in the area and signified that a motion of appreciation for both leaders would be presented at the event.
She also highlighted various ongoing development projects, such as setting up a new revenue division and judicial infrastructure to enhance regional growth.
The home minister further addressed recent controversies, alleging that YSR Congress Party members were attempting to malign her reputation within the political landscape.
