CHENNAI: All India Professional Congress leader Praveen Chakravarthy recently addressed the media at the airport, clarifying that there was nothing amiss with Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay's decision not to meet Congress leaders during his recent visit to Delhi.

Meeting Schedules and Follow-Up

Chakravarthy elaborated on the details of their scheduling, stating that no meeting with Congress leaders had been arranged on Wednesday evening because leader Rahul Gandhi was engaged with party affairs. However, he added, Vijay was certain to meet these leaders during his next visit and conduct discussions.

Vijay did attend the swearing-in ceremony for Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK), a Congress alliance government. Chakravarthy emphasized that there were no issues between the TVK and the Congress party, and the former did not raise any allegations regarding Vijay's absence during Gandhi's visit.

Chakravarthy further commented on why Vijay had not attended the swearing-in ceremony for the Congress-led government in Kerala or met with other Congress leaders. He noted that the Chief Minister had engagements with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman during his trip, thus, these meetings were prioritized.

Despite the clear explanation provided by Chakravarthy, the incident has sparked curiosity and debate about internal party dynamics and decision-making processes within political structures at various levels in India.
