Adilabad, Telangana — Minister for Labour and Mines Gaddam Vivek criticized former MLA Balka Suman following a series of controversial statements that he believes were intended to disturb peace in the state. Speaking after inspecting the Tekumatla IKP paddy procurement centre in Chennur, Mancherial district, Vivek demanded an apology from Suman to the people of Telangana.

Vivek stated that the remarks reflected a questionable intent to target government institutions for personal gains and called into question the source of funds used by Suman during the last Assembly elections. He highlighted the allegation surrounding Suman's use of certain slogans during the election campaign, suggesting possible manipulation or instigation among the cadre.

Vivek's Assurance Amid Farmers' Concerns

In response to potential unrest and agitation among farmers, Vivek assured them that procurement would continue until June 6. He emphasized that the government would purchase every bit of produce paddy farmers could generate this season. Cited high yields, he implored farmers not to panic but remained confident in the procurement measures put in place by the administration.

The minister also requested Singareni Collieries Company Limited to organize transportation for paddy harvest through lorries to rice mills and godowns, addressing one of the practical concerns faced during the procurement process. His primary focus seemed on maintaining orderly agricultural operations within Telangana.

"These are trying times for farmers," Vivek remarked, "and our government stands committed to ensure they receive fair compensation for their produce." He added that it is imperative to maintain internal peace by addressing rumors and fears among the farmer community effectively.
