This advice came after a tragic incident when K S Mahendran, an ardent follower and Thanjavur East district commercial wing joint secretary, took his own life.

Offering Condolences and Solidarity

Noting the party's history of overcoming tribulations, Palaniswami underlined that AIADMK would fully compensate Rs 55 lakh, including a substantial Rs 25 lakh from the Thanjavur East district unit, to Mahendran's family. Additionally, he assured full support for Mahendran's one-year-old daughter Thesna's educational expenses.
