Saturnus: A former Andhra Pradesh Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) under the YSRCP regime, Bolla Brahma Naidu, was apprehended by the Cyberabad Police in Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu. The arrest follows a probe into an alleged Rs 1000 crore scam involving the encroachment and misuse of government land in Gandipet area of Hyderabad.

According to the investigation, Naidu fabricated government orders for nearly 9 acres of property in the Gandipet region to legitimize his claim over the disputed land. The police also highlighted how a transaction amounting to Rs 1.25 crore was transferred from his bank account, confirming his alleged involvement.

Operation of a Deceptive Scheme

The scam started when Naidu allegedly attempted to forge government documents related to Survey No. 18 in Gandipet village. His actions were designed to fabricate legal ownership claims through falsified documentation, a move that further complicated the already tangled legal proceedings.

The authorities have booked nine separate cases against those involved, with Naidu's son Bolla Ramesh and Kovvuru Sunil among the other accused still on the run. The investigation reveals that following his initial activities in Hyderabad, Naidu reportedly moved to various locations including Kerala, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu before being traced to a temple town.

Following this, law enforcement officials managed to apprehend some of the co-conspirators—Nimmala Rajesh Goud, Nimmala Venugopal, and Nimmala Sai Kiran. However, Bolla Ramesh and two others remain at large, evading arrest.
