'Time is running out,' Mufti warned Abdullah, noting that J&K stands at a crossroads. The former chief minister emphasized that political differences must be set aside in the larger public interest. She encourages Abdullah to take the lead in fostering unity among regional parties for formal outreach with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

In her communication, Mufti also expresses concern over J&K's mainstream leadership being seen as complacent and failing to mount a comparable struggle post-2019.
