New York: During a UN Security Council debate, India's Permanent Representative Harish forcefully criticized Pakistan for its role in cross-border terrorism. Speaking at the 'Upholding the Purposes and Principles of the UN Charter' meeting, Harish emphasized that Pakistan would face consequences for backing terrorist activities against Delhi.

Consistent Sponsorship of Terrorism

The Indian envoy highlighted how Pakistan has been a long-term sponsor of terrorism, extremism, and anti-India rhetoric since its inception. He cited Pakistan's "bleeding India with a thousand cuts" doctrine as evidence of its ongoing commitment to destabilizing efforts against India.

Harish called for Pakistan to end all forms of support to terrorism permanently. His statements came just days after China and Pakistan issued joint statements referencing disputed territories, leading to increased tensions between the two nations.

In a press release, the Indian Ministry of External Affairs reiterated its stance on the Jammu and Kashmir issue, stating, 'J&K and Ladakh are integral and inalienable parts of India.' The spokesperson further objected to references concerning China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects, some of which pass through territories claimed by India.

India's representative made it clear that Pakistan has repeatedly violated the principles of sovereignty and territorial integrity. He referenced independent India's inception as a time when the nation faced cross-border aggression from its neighbor over territories that had legally acceded to India.
