G. Kishan Reddy Accuses Telangana Government of Stalling Crucial Development Projects

Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy has launched a sharp critique against the Telangana state administration, alleging that it is deliberately stalling crucial development projects across the region. During an extended gathering of BJP workers in Amberpet, the minister claimed that the state government is failing to deliver on welfare promises and infrastructure goals, despite having access to substantial financial grants from the Central government. This ongoing development project stagnation has become a point of contention in local political discourse.

Allegations of Obstructed Development and Infrastructure

According to G. Kishan Reddy, significant funds earmarked for housing initiatives intended to benefit underprivileged citizens remain unspent. He alleged that this hesitation stems from the state government's fear that such positive outcomes in BJP-held constituencies would enhance the political standing of his party. Furthermore, the minister stated that both the current Congress administration and the preceding BRS government have actively hindered the progress of vital infrastructure works, specifically targeting road and flyover construction projects.

Highlighting local examples of this purported obstruction, G. Kishan Reddy pointed to the newly constructed Amberpet flyover. He stated that beautification efforts for this structure have been stalled because the local administration has failed to clear debris, including heaps of garbage and mounds of earth, from the site. Additionally, he recounted an incident where attempts by Central-assisted teams to lay a new road near the Mahankali temple were reportedly met with resistance from MIM leaders, who he claims were supported by BRS functionaries.

Demands for Accountability on Promises

Beyond infrastructure concerns, the minister addressed broader issues regarding unfulfilled governance commitments. He accused the Congress administration of ignoring key assurances over the past two and a half years. G. Kishan Reddy demanded the immediate release of a comprehensive job calendar and urged the government to provide clear explanations regarding these outstanding electoral promises. He further alleged that while the central government has successfully authorized the procurement of 55 lakh metric tonnes of paddy and supports the distribution of quality rice via the PDS system, the state government has failed to extend sufficient financial aid to farmers, tenant agricultural workers, and laborers.

He concluded his address by urging local residents, party cadre, and various women’s organizations to unite in opposition to the state administration's perceived ill intentions. The minister’s statements emphasize a growing friction between central directives and state implementation regarding the region's development project stagnation and economic welfare initiatives.
