Adilabad, June 15-24: To ensure the transparency and accuracy of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process for voters, the Election Commission of India (ECI) is providing special training to booth-level officers in the Komaram Bheem Asifabad district. This initiative aims to prevent any mistakes during the voter enumeration and registration.
Komaram Bheem Asifabad District Collector K. Haritha recently announced that officials responsible for the SIR will receive comprehensive guidance from experts on technical issues related to pre-draft and post-draft preparations, as well as key aspects of conducting surveys. Each training session will cover essential details such as issuing enumeration forms to households and uploading information using the BLO App.
Preparation and Methodology
The training program is being managed at a district level, with representatives from political parties having already discussed and shared lists of booth-level officers (BLO 2) pertinent to their constituencies. This collaborative approach ensures that all necessary stakeholders are involved in the process.
It's noteworthy that there are 320 polling booths in Sirpur (T) Assembly Constituency and 358 polling booths in Asifabad Assembly Constituency, making this training crucial for the smooth functioning of the SIR exercise. Experts believe that proper preparation and clear instructions will help minimize errors and ensure a smooth survey process.
The focus on accurate data collection is critical as it directly impacts the integrity of voter records and ultimately the fairness of elections. By engaging in thorough preparation, officers are better equipped to handle their responsibilities and contribute to a robust electoral roll.
