The Iranian state news agency Tasnim reported that Tehran has suspended indirect negotiations with Washington after Israel escalated its operations in Lebanon.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu further ordered attacks on the southern suburbs of Beirut, exacerbating displacement and humanitarian concerns. While U.S. President Donald Trump expressed uncertainty about Iran's intentions regarding negotiations, he suggested a temporary silence could be beneficial.
Fearing economic pressure at home and regional instability, Tehran demands compliance with its terms before it renews talks, Tasnim said. This includes indirect negotiations through mediators, which have been halted due to ongoing attacks on Lebanon.
