The weather pattern in North India has significantly shifted due to the resurgence of a Western Disturbance. Since morning, a low-pressure system has brought clouds over several states including Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, and Uttarakhand, with drizzle reported in certain areas along with a slight drop in temperatures.

According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), heavy rainfall, coupled with thunderstorms and lightning, is expected across West and East Uttar Pradesh, Vidarbha, Konkan & Goa, Central Maharashtra, Marathwada, and West and East Madhya Pradesh. An additional warning has been issued for the Gujarat region, Saurashtra & Kutch, Chhattisgarh, and Arunachal Pradesh where gusty winds are also anticipated.

Impact Across Key Regions:

A detailed breakdown of the affected states is as follows:

In Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, and Mizoram, heavy rainfall will be accompanied by strong winds at 60 to 80 kilometers per hour. Tripura may also experience rain showers with thunderstorms, while gusts can range from 50 to 80 km per hour.

Delhi-NCR residents should brace for heavy rain and possibly lightning on April 4th and 5th, where maximum temperatures will hover around 31 degrees Celsius with minimums at a chilly 18 degrees. Relative humidity is forecasted between 85% to 45%, significantly impacting outdoor activities.

Uttar Pradesh:

West and South-Western Uttar Pradesh districts are under an 'Orange Alert', with severe weather conditions expected, leading to a sudden drop in temperatures. Heavy rainfall is anticipated sporadically over the coming hours, affecting daily life and agriculture.

In Bihar, meteorologists predict a continuous change in weather with parts of the state experiencing light-to-moderate rainfall, strong winds, and thunderstorms from April 5th onwards. The intensity may increase further on April 6th and 7th, posing challenges especially for infrastructure and public transportation.
