A legal tribunal in Bhopal has issued an order extending the judicial remand for two individuals involved in the tragic Twisha Sharma death case. The primary suspects, Samarth Singh, who was the husband of the deceased, and Giribala Singh, his mother and a former judge, will remain in detention for an additional 14 days as investigation procedures continue regarding allegations of dowry harassment.

Judicial Custody Extended in Ongoing Investigation
During the recent proceedings presided over by Judge Shobhana Bhalave, the CBI requested an extension of judicial custody for both accused parties until June 30. The court granted this request, ensuring that both Samarth Singh and Giribala Singh remain held at the Bhopal Central Jail while authorities compile further evidence. Medical examiners concluded that the cause of death was antemortem hanging. The family of the deceased has consistently maintained that Twisha Sharma suffered severe mental and physical torment due to ongoing disputes over dowry payments, which had been a point of contention since the couple married on December 9, 2025. According to testimonies provided to law enforcement, Twisha had been in contact with her mother shortly before her death, at 9:41 pm on May 12. Allegations presented in the FIR describe a final, harrowing phone call during which the husband was heard shouting before the connection was severed. When the victim's family attempted to reach back out, it is alleged that Giribala Singh answered the call only to inform them that the victim had passed away, abruptly ending the communication.
