The victim, Raja Raghuvanshi, married Sonam on May 11, 2025, in Indore. Shortly after their wedding, the couple traveled to Meghalaya for their honeymoon. The situation turned dire on May 23, 2025, when the businessman went missing in Shillong. His body was tragically discovered ten days later, on June 2, 2025, inside a gorge.
Following the discovery, law enforcement authorities arrested four individuals, including his widow Sonam and her alleged partner, Raj Kushwaha, in connection with the homicide. While Sonam was granted bail earlier this year, the three other co-accused remain in judicial custody in Meghalaya.
