A disturbing case involving sexual exploitation has surfaced in Kosgi, a town located within the Narayanpet district of Telangana. Authorities have officially registered a case against the son of a local gold trader following allegations that he sexually exploited a 20-year-old woman employed as a domestic housemaid at his residence.
According to reports from local law enforcement, the accused, identified as Sai Krishna, allegedly lured the young woman under the guise of love. The situation escalated to sexual exploitation, resulting in the victim becoming three months pregnant. The victim further alleged that when she approached Sai Krishna to discuss marriage, he refused and subjected her to abusive language based on her caste.
Investigation into the Allegations of Sexual Exploitation and Caste Abuse
The incident gained public attention after the woman's family confronted the family of the accused regarding the pregnancy. Although initial reports suggested that Sai Krishna’s father attempted to resolve the matter through discussions with local elders, the victim declined any financial settlements and instead sought justice through the legal system. She officially approached the police on Saturday after local political figures reportedly intervened, attempting to stifle the complaint.
Following a formal complaint filed by the victim's family, the Kosgi police acted on Sunday night, registering a case against Sai Krishna under the provisions of the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act. As part of the ongoing investigation, the victim has been transported to Narayanpet district headquarters to undergo a thorough medical examination.
Narayanpet DSP N Lingayya has formally initiated an inquiry into the matter. As part of the investigative process, DSP Lingayya visited the residence of the gold trader to conduct interviews with family members. Furthermore, law enforcement officials have been gathering evidence by speaking with local shopkeepers and residents about Sai Krishna's general conduct and behavior. Police officials confirmed that a comprehensive report regarding the findings of the investigation will be submitted to the Superintendent of Police (SP) once all inquiries are concluded.
