JNTUK and VEDA IIT Invite Applications for Industry-Integrated Training Programme

Highlights

  • JNTUK and VEDA IIT have partnered to launch an industry-integrated training programme.
  • Eligible 3rd-year B.Tech students in specific streams must apply online by June 17.
  • The program includes specialized training in VLSI, Embedded Systems, and Applied AI.
  • Sponsoring companies will cover the Rs. 9 lakh fee per student for selected candidates.

Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Kakinada (JNTUK) has officially launched an invitation for applications regarding a specialized industry-integrated training programme. This educational opportunity is being organized in close partnership with VEDA IIT, based in Hyderabad, following the formal establishment of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two academic entities. This initiative aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world industrial demands for qualified engineering students.

Currently, enrollment is open for students entering their third year of B.Tech studies, specifically those specializing in ECE, EEE, EI, CSE, and AI & ML. To be considered for this competitive industry-integrated training programme, applicants must maintain an academic record of 75 percent or higher. Interested candidates are required to submit their applications through the online portal on or before June 17. The selection process is rigorous, involving a competitive entrance examination, a personal interview, and the mandatory submission of a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the student's respective college.

Examination Schedule and Curriculum Focus

The selection mechanism for the industry-integrated training programme includes a two-stage examination process scheduled for June 20. A preliminary common entrance test is set to begin at 9 a.m., followed by the main examination, which will take place between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. This structure ensures that only the most capable students proceed to the advanced training phases.

Students who successfully qualify will receive comprehensive training at VEDA IIT. The curriculum is highly technical, focusing on critical areas such as VLSI Digital and Analog Engineering, Embedded System Design, and Applied Artificial Intelligence. A notable feature of this collaboration is that the training will span the two semesters of the final academic year. Consequently, participants will earn 40 academic credits through this program, which will be formally transferred to JNTUK, effectively replacing the standard final-year coursework.

Financial considerations for this intensive course are well-managed. Officials have confirmed that the total program fee of Rs. 9 lakh per student is entirely covered by the sponsoring corporate entities. Beyond the academic and technical training, the program incorporates structured internships with various consortium companies. This holistic approach is specifically designed to enhance the employability of the participating students, offering a clear path toward professional opportunities in the technology sector upon graduation.
