National Institute of Technology (NIT), Warangal, welcomed a diverse group of 49 young individuals from Meghalaya recently as part of Yuva Sangam Phase VI. This event is organized under the Ministry of Education's Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat programme and managed by IIM Shillong.

Cultural Learning and Integration: The week-long programme includes a blend of cultural, educational, technological, and experiential activities aimed at fostering national integration and emotional bonding among youth from different states. Leaders including Prof. Bidyadhar Subudhi, the Director of NIT Warangal; Prof. K. Kiran Kumar, Dean of Students Welfare & Faculty Advisor; and Prof. Hariprasad Reddy, faculty coordinator, coordinated the event.

Experiential Activities and Cultural Visits

The delegation visited several UNESCO World Heritage Sites including the Ramappa Temple and the Thousand Pillars Temple. They also toured Warangal Fort, interacted with self-help group members in local communities, and explored Telangana's innovation ecosystem at T-Hub in Hyderabad.

"The programme is expected to deepen cultural understanding, friendship, and educational collaboration between youth from Meghalaya and Telangana," mentioned Prof. Subudhi, underlining the spirit of unity in diversity fostered by the initiative.
