In a recent political development, Pantham Venkateswara Rao, the Jana Sena MLA representing Kakinada Rural, has publicly questioned the relevance and objectives of a community meeting hosted by YSRC leaders. The gathering, held in Venkatayapalem village within the Ramachandrapuram mandal of Dr B.R. Ambedkar Konaseema district, has sparked a heated debate between local political figures.

Political Tensions Over Kapu Community Meeting

Pantham Venkateswara Rao, also known as Nanaji, expressed strong disapproval of the event during a press briefing. He argued that the organizers failed to present a clear agenda or outline specific demands for the current governing administration. Furthermore, he challenged the attendees to explain what concrete benefits they intended to offer the Kapu community should their party return to power in the future.

The Jana Sena legislator did not hold back in his criticism of the YSRC representatives, particularly regarding their recent focus on Pawan Kalyan, the Deputy Chief Minister. Nanaji defended Pawan Kalyan, stating that the leader promotes an inclusive political philosophy that transcends traditional caste-based mobilization. He emphasized that the current alliance government is committed to maintaining law and order, warning that criminal activities would not be tolerated regardless of an individual's political affiliations.

Clash of Political Narratives

The accusations made by Nanaji extended to former government ministers and specifically addressed Dwarampudi Chandrasekhar Reddy. The MLA alleged that Chandrasekhar Reddy had misused his authority during his time in office and noted his relative absence from the public eye following his electoral loss. Additionally, Nanaji issued a bold challenge to Jagan Mohan Reddy, inviting him to contest an election from the Kakinada Rural constituency.

These remarks drew a sharp response from YSRC MLC Thota Trimurthulu, who labeled the criticisms as unfounded. Trimurthulu countered by suggesting that if Nanaji were to resign from his legislative position, he would be willing to run against him as an independent candidate in Kakinada Rural. He also dismissed the allegations surrounding land grabbing as baseless and requested evidence to support such claims. The discourse was further complicated by former MP Vanga Geetha, who voiced her opposition to Nanaji’s statements, cautioning him against engaging in personal attacks against political opponents. The ongoing exchange highlights the intensified political rivalry currently unfolding within the region.
