Kakani Govardhan Reddy, the YSRC leader and district president for Nellore, has leveled severe accusations against the current coalition administration in Andhra Pradesh. Speaking at a press gathering in the Nellore district office on Saturday, he characterized the prevailing political atmosphere as a Red Book Rule, arguing that fundamental democratic structures in the state are under immense pressure.
The former minister expressed deep concern regarding what he described as the systematic misuse of state law enforcement machinery. According to Kakani Govardhan Reddy, the government is utilizing these agencies to initiate politically motivated investigations, resulting in numerous false cases being filed against members of the opposition. He specifically noted that he is currently facing 27 separate legal cases, which he categorizes as part of a targeted campaign of political retaliation.
Allegations of Misgovernance and Political Vendetta
The discourse surrounding the Red Book Rule escalated as the leader brought attention to the tragic custodial death of Sai Krishna in Vijayawada. He alleged that the state government, led by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, remained indifferent to the situation until YSRC president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy took the initiative to personally visit the grieving family of the victim.
Beyond law and order concerns, the former minister sharply criticized the execution of the Annadata Sukhibhava welfare initiative. He claimed that the program has been significantly compromised, noting a reduction in the total number of eligible beneficiaries. Furthermore, he asserted that tenant farmers have been deliberately excluded from the scheme, which he argues is indicative of a broader neglect regarding the agricultural community’s welfare in Andhra Pradesh.
Kakani Govardhan Reddy concluded his remarks by accusing the coalition government of actively fostering political repression and failing to address ongoing illegal activities within the state. He maintained that the citizenry is observing these developments closely and predicted that the voters would deliver a decisive and appropriate response to the administration during the upcoming electoral cycles.
