The tragic death of Radha Gayatri in Mussoorie on June 15 has brought to light serious allegations regarding domestic friction. S. Durga Prasad, the father-in-law of the deceased, recently highlighted that the use of a tracking device caused frequent conflicts between the couple. This electronic tool, designed to monitor geographical locations, reportedly became a recurring point of contention in the marriage of Radha Gayatri and Somayajulu Sricharan.

Tracking Device Controversy and Marital Discord

According to S. Durga Prasad, the disagreements stemming from the tracking device were a constant concern for the family. He noted that his wife, Seethalakshmi, had frequently attempted to mediate these disputes and had even reprimanded Somayajulu Sricharan regarding his behavior. Despite these efforts to foster patience and understanding between the newlyweds, the arguments persisted.

The situation has now entered a legal phase, following a formal complaint filed by P. Sudhakar, the father of Radha Gayatri. In his official statement to the authorities, P. Sudhakar alleged that his daughter faced consistent harassment from Somayajulu Sricharan. A central claim in these accusations is the allegation that Somayajulu Sricharan had placed a tracking device inside Radha Gayatri’s personal bag to monitor her movements without her consent.

Legal Proceedings and Family Response

In his reflections on the tragedy, S. Durga Prasad expressed deep sorrow, describing Radha Gayatri as a close friend rather than just a daughter-in-law. He acknowledged the profound grief being experienced by her parents, noting that his own pain is secondary to theirs. When asked about his son's character, S. Durga Prasad admitted that Somayajulu Sricharan’s belief in his own infallibility was a significant personal weakness.

However, he remained cautious when discussing the specifics of the ongoing investigation, choosing not to explicitly defend or condemn his son at this stage. S. Durga Prasad emphasized that the responsibility for uncovering the truth rests with the legal system. “The courts will determine the truth,” he stated.

The family is currently preparing for the 10th-day memorial ritual for Radha Gayatri, which is scheduled to take place at Simhachalam Koneru. Regarding Somayajulu Sricharan’s presence at the ceremony, his father confirmed that his son is currently traveling from New Delhi to Dehradun to attend. The investigation remains ongoing as authorities continue to piece together the events that led to the unexplained death of Radha Gayatri.
