- •The system tracks critical infrastructure, including transformer failures and project construction, to ensure network reliability.
In a significant move to bolster operational efficiency and transparency, TGNPDCL has officially rolled out a comprehensive Digital Dashboard System. This initiative, built on advanced operational intelligence and performance monitoring architecture, aims to streamline the power distribution processes across the region. According to Karnati Varun Reddy, Chairman and Managing Director of TGNPDCL, this new technological framework is designed to facilitate continuous monitoring of organizational performance while supporting informed, data-driven decision-making across all levels of the utility.
Enhancing Utility Performance with Real-Time Data
The newly introduced wing-wise digital dashboards serve as a central command interface, providing senior management and stakeholders with real-time access to daily operational activities. This granular visibility extends across all Circles, Divisions, and Sections of the organization. By integrating key performance indicators into a unified platform, the utility can now oversee functions ranging from operations and finance to human resources, projects, MRT, procurement, and consumer care services.
A major focus of this Digital Dashboard System is to optimize resource management. For instance, the P&MM module offers comprehensive oversight of material inventories and consumption patterns. A critical feature of this module includes automated stock sufficiency alerts, which provide advanced warnings of potential shortages one to three months in advance, ensuring that operations remain uninterrupted. Similarly, the human resources interface simplifies workforce administration by consolidating payroll expenditure data, retirement schedules, and medical claim details into a single, accessible view.
Consumer engagement and service delivery are also set to improve through the integrated dashboard. By monitoring the performance of the 1912 Call Center and analyzing pending complaints in real time, the utility aims to accelerate resolution times and boost overall customer satisfaction levels. Furthermore, the system provides vital project oversight, offering end-to-end visibility into new substation construction, civil works progress, contractor performance, and financial utilization, which is essential for ensuring timely project execution.
The Digital Dashboard System also plays a crucial role in maintenance and reliability. It systematically tracks transformer failures, identifies underlying root causes, and highlights repeat failure locations to support proactive preventive maintenance planning. Additionally, it aids in monitoring power theft detection efforts, thereby strengthening network integrity. By leveraging sophisticated data analytics, the leadership at TGNPDCL anticipates that these technological advancements will optimize resource utilization, improve field-level performance, and ultimately position the utility as a premier power distribution provider in the country.
