This Special Intensive Revision is designed to purify the existing electoral database and guarantee that every eligible citizen is correctly included.
Purpose and Execution of the Electoral Roll Revision
Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) C. Sudharshan Reddy officially announced the upcoming campaign during a recent press briefing. He emphasized that the primary goal of this exercise is to maintain an updated and error-free electoral roll, which serves as the foundation for democratic participation. To achieve this, Booth Level Officers (BLOs) have been tasked with conducting direct outreach to residents across the state.
During this month-long drive, BLOs are expected to visit every household at least three times. Their responsibilities include the distribution of necessary enumeration forms and the collection of completed documents from the electors. To ensure the process is efficient, Booth Level Agents have also undergone specialized training to assist these officers in managing the documentation and addressing queries from the public.
The CEO has issued a formal appeal to all residents, urging them to extend their full cooperation to the officials visiting their homes. This collaboration is vital to the success of the Special Intensive Revision, as it allows for the accurate collection and verification of voter information. The administration has made it clear that the schedule is rigid, with the process concluding firmly on July 24, and no extensions will be granted beyond this date.
