The state government of Telangana is moving forward with plans to establish the Telangana Rising Global Summit as its premier annual investment promotion platform. Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has directed officials to organize the second edition of this major gathering this coming December, with the event scheduled to be hosted at Bharat Future City. The initiative is designed to solidify the state's standing as a primary global business destination while actively courting significant international investment.
Focusing on Global Investment and Future City Development
Government authorities, specifically from the industries and IT departments, alongside the Future City Development Authority (FCDA), have been tasked with spearheading the preparations. A primary goal of the upcoming summit is to draw participation from high-level delegates and top-tier executives representing Fortune 500 companies. By hosting the event at Bharat Future City, the government aims to highlight the rapid progress of this ambitious, large-scale urban project.
The Bharat Future City project is a massive undertaking covering over 30,000 acres near Hyderabad. Of this area, 15,000 acres constitute a core urban zone specifically tailored for sectors like artificial intelligence, information technology, advanced manufacturing, healthcare, and financial services. The remaining acreage is dedicated to urban forestry, green spaces, and eco-tourism, positioning the site as a model for planned urban growth.
This strategic push aligns with the state's broader Telangana Rising 2047 vision. The ultimate objective is to propel the state toward becoming a USD 1 trillion economy by 2034, with a long-term goal of reaching a USD 3 trillion economy by 2047. The infrastructure in the area is already growing, with the Chief Minister inaugurating the FCDA headquarters on June 10, 2026, and the Young India Skills University campus nearing its completion.
Building on Past Success
The decision to formalize the summit comes following the impressive performance of the inaugural two-day event held on December 8 and 9, 2025. That summit successfully secured investment commitments totaling ₹5.75 lakh crore, a record-breaking figure for the state. By making the Telangana Rising Global Summit an annual tradition, the administration intends to maintain this momentum and consistently showcase the state's capacity to host global capital across various high-growth sectors, including clean energy and deep-tech infrastructure.
