New Delhi: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has initiated a search operation against the Vedanta Group, as part of an ongoing investigation under the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA).

The enforcement action targeted the business magnate-promoted mining conglomerate with raids at its offices across Delhi, Rajasthan, and Mumbai. The central agency has launched the investigation against Vedanta Ltd., a multinational corporation involved in metals production, critical minerals extraction, and technology.
A spokesperson for Vedanta confirmed the ED's actions, stating that the company is providing all information requested by the authorities and is committed to compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
