The assault is believed to have occurred just hours after Srihari, the identified cab driver, dropped off passengers from Vanasthalipuram and parked near the Saibaba Temple in Nagaram for his next booking.
Accounts suggest that Supreeth Reddy, driving a Toyota Fortuner through the area, got visibly angry when he observed the taxi parked on the roadside. He reportedly stepped out of his vehicle to confront Srihari, leading to physical altercation with the latter. Local residents intervened and promptly alerted local authorities who then registered a complaint against the actor.
