  • Realignment Ensures Better Management Structures Across Departments

Hyderabad: In a significant move, the Telangana school education department recently completed general transfers 2026 for officers and non-teaching staff. This includes postings from additional director to office subordinate levels, marking a first-time online transfer process for non-teaching staff and bringing in new appointments at various managerial positions.

The bulk of these administrative changes involved senior officer relocations that were issued by the government through detailed transfer orders. Five additional directors, seven joint directors, and four deputy directors or district educational officers have been relocated across different positions on administrative grounds. Among them:

  • Ch. Ramana Kumar was moved from secretary of TGREIS to an additional director role in MDM.
  • P.V. Srihari, the director of TOSS, assumed duties as the additional state project director for Samagra Shiksha while also taking charge of examinations at Hyderabad.
  • K. Lingaiah's shift from additional coordinator to district educational officer at TOSS marked a significant realignment.
  • Radha Reddy's role transitioned from additional project director, Samagra Shiksha, to that of the director, Government Text Book Press.

The joint directors were also transferred based on these orders, including P. Rajeev's move to Telangana Open School Society in Hyderabad and M. Somi Reddy's position at the regional joint directorship of school education there. Other key moves included K. Satyanarayana Reddy becoming a full-time director and additional director (C), P. Madan Mohan's new post as joint director (I) under Samagra Shiksha, B. Venkata Narasamma in the office of the director of schools, and E. Vijaya Lakshmi taking on the regional school education joint director role in Warangal.

Key Realignments

The government also addressed senior deputy directors and district educational officers with the aim to streamline operations at various levels:

  • P. Revathi Reddy moved from TET Cell's deputy director position to model school deputy directorship.
  • R. Rohini, initially a district educational officer in Hyderabad, has now been posted to Sangareddy in the same capacity.
  • Office moves include Venkatehwarlu and Yadaiah's transfers from Sangareddy and Mancherial, respectively, with both landing in Hyderabad positions as district educational officers.

These changes were part of GO 38 issued by the finance department on April 21 and supplemented by a government memo dated May 20. The process was handled first at the directorate level for assistant directors and deputy educational officers, followed by higher-level approvals for district educational officers and other senior posts.
