Hyderabad: In a significant move aimed at reducing the financial burden on families, the Telangana government has slashed textbook prices for Classes 1 through 10 by up to 17% this academic year. The decision comes as a welcome relief to students and their guardians who are gearing up for the new session.
Reductions Spread Across Classes
The cost of a Class 1 set of three textbooks now stands at Rs 209, down from Rs 247. Similarly, the revised prices for the Class 10 textbook set have dropped from Rs 1,078 to Rs 900, marking substantial savings.
The revised-price textbooks will be available in bookstores and markets across the state starting June 5, ensuring that students are well-prepared for their classes without excessive financial strain. This move by the Telangana government reflects its commitment towards making education more accessible and affordable to all residents.
