Bhubaneswar, May 29-31: The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) is set to convene its National Executive Council (NEC) meeting in Bhubaneswar from May 29 to 31. Expected participation includes nearly 500 student leaders, academicians, and organizational representatives from across the country. This significant gathering will take place at Siksha 'O' Anusandhan University.
Bhubaneswar: Heart of Student Leadership
Organized in collaboration with various ABVP dimensions, the meeting aims to deliberate on pressing issues such as education reforms, national security, and youth empowerment. The event follows preparatory meetings including a Central Working Committee session (May 27) with 106 karyakartas, along with separate organizational and functional forum meetings (May 28).
At the heart of these discussions are diverse sectors ranging from sports and arts to environmental conservation and technological advancements. Participants will review and engage in a wide range of initiatives and campaigns, including membership expansion strategies for ABVP's expanding reach across educational institutions.
"Civic Reception Ceremony" is also on the agenda, with Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi gracing it as chief guest. The event promises to strengthen organizational energy, ideological clarity, and future outreach plans, fostering student engagement in nation-building initiatives.
A Crucial Platform for Future Leaders
National General Secretary Virendra Singh Solanki highlighted the significance of this NEC meeting. He emphasized its critical role in determining the organization's future direction amid emerging national challenges, especially in the context of student representation and educational reforms.
ABVP leaders anticipate discussions on expanding membership and forming new campus units, along with planning for future initiatives such as the National Conference 2026, SEIL Yatra, and international student engagement programs. The NEC will critically evaluate ABVP's ongoing campaigns like 'Screen Time to Activity Time', '150 Years of Vande Mataram' and several commemorative initiatives, further solidifying its commitment to holistic student development.
