Vijayawada: Telangana belongs to its people, states Andhra Pradesh deputy chief minister K Pawan Kalyan. Speaking amid controversy over his recent comments and potential public gatherings in the region, Kalyan clarified that his remarks were not against the state or its residents.

Clarification on Controversies

"My criticisms pertain only to those who said I would not be allowed into Telangana. My affection for the youth of Telangana and respect for their struggle will never wane," Kalyan stated during a media address. He emphasized that his stance did not signify opposition to the state or its people, stressing his support for the achievement of the region through the efforts of its youth.

Vijayawada: Kalyan paid tributes to Potti Sriramulu's statue and announced the formation of 'Sena Galam', a committee aimed at unifying voices against caste-based hatred and social divisions in society. Addressing media, he also pointed out that certain individuals might have created unnecessary barriers for his planned public meeting to occur in Telangana after 12 years.

On political discourse in Andhra Pradesh, Kalyan critiqued the trend of using caste as a tool for abuse and attributing individual mistakes to entire communities. "When an individual commits a crime, only that person should be held accountable," he observed, cautioning against fostering regional sentiments that could harm national integration.
