Goddess:Telangana, the Godrej Foundation, has launched Tomorrow Makers, a pioneering national platform aimed at identifying and supporting students from disadvantaged backgrounds. Built on the belief that talent is distributed widely across India but access to opportunity remains uneven, this initiative seeks to bridge the gap for young people.
Through Tomorrow Makers, high-potential students ranging from Classes 6-12 and graduates can be connected with organizations, educators, mentors, competitions, and peer communities that will help them realize their potential. The platform offers four distinct pathways—STEM, Invention and Making, Arts, and Defence—which cater to different age groups.
Empowering Future Innovators
Omar Momin, CEO of the Godrej Foundation, stated, "India's vast student population offers enormous untapped potential. However, structured mentorship and advanced learning opportunities remain unevenly distributed, particularly for those from underserved communities. Tomorrow Makers aims to build pathways that nurture young innovators, researchers, artists, entrepreneurs, soldiers, and public leaders."
The platform supports students through a network of specialized partners. Dakshana and Avanti Fellows provide free coaching for the JEE and NEET exams. Genwise and MakerGhat offer advanced learning in robotics, computing, and mathematics. Slam Out Loud provides mentorship and skill development for aspiring artists, while Drama School Mumbai offers professional theater training.
Graduates planning to join the armed forces can prepare through Delta Squad Foundation and Yuvatejas, which offer courses for defense service examinations. Additionally, Tomorrow Makers offers need-based scholarships to eligible candidates.
The process involves students applying online or via WhatsApp bot and undergoing assessments that identify their potential in science, invention, arts, and endurance. Successful applicants are then enrolled in specialized programs run by Godrej Foundation's nonprofit partners.
