An audacious ATM heist has been reported in Bukkarayasamudram, located in the Anantapur district. During the early hours of Wednesday, unidentified perpetrators successfully broke into a State Bank of India (SBI) automated teller machine kiosk situated along the Tadipatri main road. The criminals managed to extract the entire machine, along with its internal batteries, after forcibly smashing the glass panels of the facility.
The brazen nature of this ATM heist has caused significant alarm among local residents. Despite the kiosk being situated in a frequently busy area and located merely 100 metres from a local police station, the criminal activity transpired without alerting nearby security or law enforcement patrols.
Investigation and Discovery of Stolen Equipment
Following the report of the theft, law enforcement officials acted quickly to initiate an investigation into the ATM heist. Within only a few hours of the incident, authorities discovered various components of the stolen ATM equipment dumped and abandoned on the outskirts of Akuledu village, which is under the jurisdiction of Singanamala mandal.
