On the evening of September 15th, 2023, Goshamahal police officers demonstrated exceptional vigilance and responsiveness by successfully rescuing a physically disabled, 45-year-old woman who had been wandering in Nagarkhana locality. Chief constables G. Shambu Lingam and Thakur Ashish Singh were on patrol duty when they received an emergency call from a local resident reporting the sighting of an unknown woman.
Padma (45), originally from Nagasanpally village, was found incapacitated to provide her full details. She was promptly transferred to the Goshamahal police station for safety and care.
In a swift move, Lingam identified Padma's distinct dialect and deduced that she might belong to the Wanaparthy jurisdiction. He quickly contacted Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Dakuri Mariyapu Reddy of Srirangapuram police station through the Wanaparthy control room. Verification confirmed that a missing woman matching her description had been reported missing for five days in Nagasanpally village. Padma's son, Boravelli Narender, informed the authorities about his mother's disappearance and rushed to the police station after learning of the rescue.
The Successful Reunification
After thorough verification, Padma was safely returned to her family. Inspector B. Sravan Kumar praised the officers for their quick response and professional handling of the case, highlighting the importance of coordinated efforts between different police departments.
