A significant regional gathering centered on the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rojgar Yojana (PM-VBRY) recently took place in Hyderabad. This initiative, championed by the Union Ministry of Labour and Employment, is specifically designed to accelerate employment generation across the nation. The event served as a critical platform to discuss the ongoing implementation of the PM-VBRY scheme and its potential impact on the local workforce and industrial landscape.

The program saw an active attendance of approximately 350 individuals, which included 60 primary beneficiaries, 10 prominent local employers, and various representatives from regional industry associations. Also present were public officials, senior representatives from the state government, and personnel from the EPFO (Employees' Provident Fund Organisation), all gathering to facilitate a dialogue between job seekers and industry leaders. A highlight of the day was the distribution of 10 formal appointment letters to newly recruited candidates, symbolizing the immediate success of these placement efforts.

Driving Employment Through PM-VBRY Initiatives

During the national component of this outreach, Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized the vital role of the youth in achieving a developed nation. He noted that the skills, aspirations, and untapped potential of young Indians are the foundational pillars for a 'Viksit Bharat'. According to the Prime Minister, the PM-VBRY framework is intended to create a robust connection between industry requirements and the aspirations of first-time employees, positioning India as a global leader in innovation and entrepreneurship.

Local leadership also underscored the importance of this mission. Malka Komaraiah, an MLC present at the Hyderabad event, highlighted that under the current administration, the relationship between workers and employers is being redefined as a partnership for national progress. He drew attention to the significant milestone of 17 crore jobs reportedly generated between 2014 and 2024, aiming to motivate stakeholders to continue this trajectory of growth.

Furthermore, officials at the event urged all attending employers to actively register their workforce under the PM-VBRY scheme. This registration is critical for ensuring that workers receive comprehensive benefits and enhanced financial security.
