Heavy rain and strong winds are sweeping across several districts of Uttar Pradesh (UP), prompting the Meteorological Department to issue a warning for potential hailstorms. The Western Disturbance is bringing much-needed relief from the heat to UP residents, but with it come various challenges.

Gusty Winds and Severe Weather Conditions have led to 20 fatalities and injuries in some regions over the past week. Moradabad, Rampur, Amroha, and Bijnor are reporting inclement weather conditions early this morning; however, sunshine breaks through by midday, leading to a slight rise in temperatures.

Heavy Rain Alert: Specific Districts Affected

New Delhi: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast rain for various regions across the state, with severe weather conditions expected in specific areas. Gautam Buddha Nagar, Bulandshahr, Aligarh, Mathura, Hathras, Kasganj, Etah, Agra, Firozabad, Mainpuri, and Etawah are among those that may experience hailstorms.

Additionally, strong winds with speeds of 50 to 60 kilometres per hour have been reported in some districts. Auraiya and Jalaun are expected to see rain accompanied by lightning. The Meteorological Department has also forecast rain for Hardoi, Farrukhabad, Kannauj, Kanpur Dehat, Kanpur Nagar, Unnao, Saharanpur, Shamli, and Muzaffarnagar.

Weather conditions may remain unsettled in Baghpat, Meerut, Ghaziabad, Hapur, Bijnor, Amroha, Moradabad, Rampur, Bareilly, and Pilibhit. Strong winds are expected to blow at high speeds over Shahjahanpur, Sambhal, Badaun, Hamirpur, Mahoba, Jhansi, and Lalitpur.

Rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is also anticipated in several parts of Delhi-NCR, Uttarakhand, Western UP, and Himachal Pradesh. The IMD has forecast rain across various parts of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Kerala, Telangana, and Tamil Nadu.

The weather advisory aims to ensure that residents in affected areas are aware of the coming conditions and can prepare accordingly to mitigate risks.
