The primary batch was formally accepted by representatives from the Army’s Southern Command, stationed in Nasik, Maharashtra.

Enhancing Strategic Capabilities with JK 250e Drones

The JK 250e drones are sophisticated unmanned aerial systems engineered by Drogo Aerospace to support critical military requirements, including reconnaissance, surveillance, and tactical intelligence gathering. Capable of operating for up to three hours on a single battery cycle, these drones provide high-endurance monitoring capabilities. By integrating such advanced technology, the Indian Army is bolstering its operational efficiency in sensitive border and internal security zones. This contract aligns with the national Atmanirbhar Bharat and Make in India initiatives, aimed at transforming India into a hub for self-reliant, high-technology defense production.

Following this successful delivery, the company is shifting its strategic focus to expand its influence as a comprehensive aerospace ecosystem. The firm is now prioritizing the development of complex defense solutions, including long-endurance unmanned systems, loitering munitions, and AI-driven aerial intelligence platforms. These next-generation tools are designed to meet the evolving demands of modern warfare and national security. The leadership team at Drogo Aerospace, headed by CEO Yeshwanth Bonthu, views this partnership as a testament to the firm’s technical prowess and its commitment to contributing to the safety and strategic readiness of the nation.

Expanding Manufacturing Infrastructure in Telangana

To support its ambitious production roadmap, Drogo Aerospace is in the process of establishing a cutting-edge manufacturing center in Maheshwaram, located in the Ranga Reddy district of Telangana. The state government has facilitated this initiative by allocating approximately 4.5 acres of land within the Electronics Manufacturing Cluster. The facility, which will span 100,000 square feet, is anticipated to be a major economic booster, potentially generating over 500 new jobs.

Currently, the organization maintains a workforce of about 300 skilled professionals. This expansion effort is designed to scale up the assembly and R&D capabilities for future aerospace and defense projects. The company’s recent showcase of its indigenous defense technologies at an exhibition in Puttaparthi, Andhra Pradesh—where officials including the Defense Minister and the Chief Minister were present—highlights the industry’s recognition of their role in national advancement. As the company works toward completing the remaining order by August 2026, it remains focused on solidifying its status as a key contributor to India’s sovereign defense manufacturing capabilities.
