Speaking during a press conference, Rama Rao stated that if elections were held today, his party would secure over 90 seats.
BRS Criticizes Current Government Policies
Underlining the people's growing disenchantment with the Congress-led administration, Rama Rao emphasized that the BRS is uniquely positioned to bring about a turnaround in governance. He highlighted the Congress's history of failing to deliver on its promises and termed the current government as 'the first enemy' of Telangana following repeated betrayals of the Telangana movement's aspirations.
"The government has consistently misled the people with false promises, particularly regarding infrastructure projects like Future City, which Rama Rao alleged is being used merely for real-estate interests," he noted. In contrast to this, Rama Rao praised K Chandrashekar Rao as the BRS's trump card and indicated that the party would benefit from his political acumen in opposing Congress misrule.
"If elections are held today, BRS will return with a clear mandate for governance," Rama Rao proclaimed. He further announced plans to review and possibly cancel the Future City project under future BRS rule.
