Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka has accused the BJP-led central government of conducting a Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls aimed at retaining pro-BJP voters while de-registering those opposed. At a meeting of the District Congress Political Affairs Committee in Khammam, Mr. Bhatti highlighted the need for stringent measures to bolster party organization.

Call to Strengthen Party Organization

Mr. Bhatti stressed the importance of fortifying the political apparatus from booth level structures. He directed that mandal executive committees, booth committees, and village committees be constituted by June 30. The deputy chief minister urged members to work collectively towards upholding social justice principles and strengthening the local Congress party.

Nuthi Satyanarayana, District Congress Committee president, echoed this sentiment by emphasizing that the party would recognize dedicated workers and provide them with political opportunities. Leaders Matta Ragamayee, Maloth Ramdas Naik, Nagandla Deepak Chowdary, Rayala Nageswara Rao, and other prominent figures attended the assembly.

The ongoing electoral dynamics underscore the complexities of party politics in southern states, particularly regarding voter registration and management. The allegations of SIR activities indicate a heightened competition for votes between rival political parties in the region.
