Indian Railways has announced a significant upgrade to its rail travel infrastructure by introducing the new Vande Bharat Sleeper train. This cutting-edge service, connecting Bengaluru (KSR Station) and Mumbai (CSMT), aims to provide travelers with a world-class experience, reducing journey times significantly.

The approval for this innovative route was confirmed by Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav in a letter. MP P.C. Mohan shared the good news on social media platform X, highlighting that the new train will benefit IT professionals, business travelers, and tourists looking to traverse between these two major metropolitan centers.

Bengaluru-Mumbai Connection Unveiled

Currently, regular superfast trains take about 18 to 22 hours to cover the approximately 1,000 kilometers between Bengaluru and Mumbai. However, with a maximum speed of 160 km/h, this new Vande Bharat Sleeper train will cut down travel time to a mere 10 to 12 hours. Passengers can expect an improved journey experience with ergonomic designs, enhanced cushioning, sensor-activated lighting, and advanced toilet facilities.
