The district administration and Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) are spearheading initiatives, including the Yogandhra-2026 campaign, aimed at enhancing public health and well-being through these holistic practices.
Yoga Activities Spread Across Tirupati
A key event in this series was TTD's launch of its 'Yoga-TTD Arogyananda' program, marking the start of a two-week campaign that will see yoga sessions organized across public spaces and institutions. Speaking at Mahathi Auditorium, M. Ravichandra, executive officer of TTD, emphasized yoga's role in promoting physical fitness, mental peace, and self-confidence.
Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary, additional executive officer, highlighted the benefits of yoga in managing stress and maintaining mental balance. He added that regular practice can improve concentration, emotional stability, and overall health not just for individuals but also their families.
TTD's Dedication to Yoga
The TTD has meticulously planned its schedule, announcing yoga competitions will be held on June 18-20. The institution is preparing to conduct a variety of programs in tandem with governmental and community organizations. Notably, the celebration at the administrative building parade grounds concludes on International Yoga Day itself.
Joint Collector R. Govinda Rao also endorsed yoga as an integral part of daily life. His vision includes conducting numerous sessions across secretariats, mandals, divisions, and other government offices from June 7 to 21. Additionally, the district tourism department has organized events focusing on spreading awareness about the benefits of yoga.
These efforts are aligned with larger national and regional goals, as evident from the preparation of around 200 master trainers who will drive these programs effectively. By engaging in such a comprehensive approach, TTD aims to make Tirupati a leader in integrating yoga for public health improvement.
