Hyderabad – TGSRTC, the transport agency serving Hyderabad, has completed its ambitious electric mobility project with the introduction of 60 additional low-floor electric city buses. This latest addition is a significant finale to an initiative that began in partnership with EVEY Trans Pvt. Ltd., aiming to modernize public transportation and significantly reduce carbon emissions.
Expansion of Electric Fleet
The project kicked off with 440 electric city buses operating from various depots including Cantonment, HCU, Miyapur, Hayathnagar, and Ranigunj. With the addition of these 60 new vehicles, the total number of electrically powered buses has reached a robust 500, serving a daily ridership close to one lakh passengers.
