In a significant move aimed at protecting public assets, Warangal West MLA Nayini Rajender Reddy has formally proposed the creation of an all-party committee. The primary goal of this initiative is to identify and reclaim government lands that have been encroached upon within Warangal. This proposal, presented during a press conference at the District Congress Committee office, underscores an urgent need for collective action to safeguard state property.

Addressing Land Encroachment Through Collaborative Action

The proposed joint committee would comprise representatives from various political entities, public organizations, and student unions. Nayini Rajender Reddy emphasized that this collaborative approach is essential for establishing a mechanism similar to HYDRAA to effectively manage and recover land. He explicitly highlighted concerns regarding specific sites, such as the YSR Nagar land issue, where he alleged that BJP and BRS leaders have been spreading baseless accusations. The MLA argued that any land confirmed as government property must be utilized strictly for public transport and administrative purposes to benefit the local community.

Furthermore, Reddy addressed the ongoing development agenda for the city. He noted that ₹11 crore has been sanctioned for the development of Mada streets, with an additional ₹19 crore secured on June 12 following discussions with Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy. He criticized the opposition for misrepresenting these project funds as achievements attributed to the previous administration. In addition to land reclamation efforts, he stated that he has officially written to the district collector requesting strict action against illegal construction activities across his constituency.

Infrastructure and Welfare Priorities

The MLA also shed light on other critical infrastructure and welfare initiatives currently under implementation. He pointed to the government’s commitment to establishing an underground drainage system in Warangal. He voiced his disappointment regarding the previous government's handling of the Mamnoor Airport, claiming it was neglected despite the successful completion of land acquisition processes. Additionally, he defended the transparent implementation of the Indiramma Housing Scheme, noting that efforts are underway to ensure that housing units from the previous regime are properly handed over to the rightful beneficiaries, with title deeds recently distributed under the oversight of the SC and ST Commission.

Reddy concluded by questioning the Union government regarding Telangana's fiscal share, asserting that the state contributes significant tax revenues but does not receive an equitable distribution of central funds. He challenged BJP leaders to clarify their own contributions to the development of the state, maintaining that his primary focus remains on public welfare and delivering tangible results to the constituents of his region.
