Ms. Oishi Dutta, Anik Dutta's daughter residing abroad, has returned home alongside her mother, Ms. Sondhi, to oversee the arrangements. The decision made on Thursday informed that Dutta's body would be transported from its current resting place at Peace World to NT One Studio in Tollygunge starting Friday morning. Here, friends, fans, and fellow filmmakers are invited to pay their respects between 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

Wednesday afternoon saw Anik Dutta falling from the terrace of his residence in Hindustan Park, Gariahat. Upon police review, a suicide note was discovered leading to speculation that he had taken his life by jumping off the multi-storeyed housing apartment where his wife Sondhi resides.
