CM Naidu Orders High-Level Probe Into Gade Sai Krishna Missing Case
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has ordered a high-level investigation into the disappearance of Gade Sai Krishna. Following allegations of custodial torture and death, the government has suspended a police inspector and is reviewing the case to ensure justice.

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has initiated a high-level, impartial probe into the mysterious disappearance of Gade Sai Krishna. This decision follows serious allegations regarding the young man's potential death while in police custody, sparking significant concern over the integrity of law enforcement procedures in Vijayawada. The government has prioritized this investigation to ensure transparency and accountability.
Government Action on the Sai Krishna Missing Case
Upon his return from a visit to Singapore, the Chief Minister convened a pivotal meeting at the Secretariat on Wednesday. The session included Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, Chief Secretary G. Sai Prasad, DGP Harish Kumar Gupta, intelligence chief Mahesh Chandra Ladda, and the Vijayawada Commissioner of Police, S.V. Rajasekhar Babu. The primary objective was to review the critical Sai Krishna missing case and determine the next course of action.
During the briefing, officials provided detailed accounts regarding the circumstances surrounding the 23-year-old's disappearance. Taking immediate administrative measures, N. Chandrababu Naidu directed the suspension of Krishnalanka Circle Inspector Nagaraju. The officer faces grave accusations of involvement in the incident, and the Chief Minister has called for stringent disciplinary and legal actions against any personnel found culpable in the Sai Krishna missing case.
Allegations and Demands for Justice
The victim's mother, Vijayalakshmi, has leveled distressing allegations against the authorities. She claims that her son suffered severe torture while in police custody before allegedly being killed and his body disposed of by burning. Expressing her profound grief and desperation, she has urged law enforcement to provide evidence if her son is still alive or, tragically, to return his remains so she may conduct final rites.
Vijayalakshmi clarified that her son, despite potential past mistakes as a youth, had relocated to Markapuram to escape persistent police harassment. She emphasized that her family maintains no political affiliations and is solely focused on seeking justice through proper legal channels, rather than allowing the tragedy to be politicized.
In response to the gravity of these claims, former minister Perni Venkataramaiah has formally requested a CBI probe. Speaking at the YSR Congress central office in Tadepalli, he stressed that if police can arbitrarily detain, kill, and hide a body, it threatens the very foundations of the judicial system and the rule of law. He argued that any criminal history associated with Gade Sai Krishna provides no justification for extrajudicial actions, asserting that it is the court's responsibility, not the police's, to determine guilt and assign punishment.
