Law enforcement authorities have successfully taken the boyfriend of a 25-year-old tech professional into custody, marking a significant development in the investigation of a Bengaluru triple murder case. The suspect, identified as Kenneth, was located and apprehended in Puducherry, following the earlier arrest of his live-in partner, Shwetha, in the same Union Territory.

Investigation into the Bengaluru Triple Murder Case

The tragic event unfolded on a Monday night at an apartment situated in Seegehalli, which falls under the jurisdiction of the K R Puram Police Station. The victims have been identified as 52-year-old Somasundar, his 48-year-old wife Muthulaxmi, and their 19-year-old daughter Supriya. All three were found fatally stabbed inside their residence. Preliminary findings from the ongoing investigation suggest that Shwetha and Kenneth were allegedly involved in the crime, acting in coordination.

Authorities believe that family discord, specifically stemming from the parents' disapproval of Shwetha's relationship with Kenneth, served as the primary motive for the violent confrontation. According to police reports, the family had visited the apartment where the couple was residing on the evening of the incident. It is suspected that a heated argument erupted during this meeting, ultimately culminating in the fatal stabbing of all three family members.

In a desperate attempt to seek help after sustaining severe injuries, Somasundar managed to exit the apartment and reach the parking area. He reportedly alerted the building's watchman to assist his wife and younger daughter before collapsing due to his wounds. Following the commission of the crime, the suspects fled Bengaluru on a motorcycle, intentionally avoiding the use of mobile phones and banking cards to evade digital surveillance.

Apprehension of the Suspects

The pursuit of the suspects involved rigorous investigative efforts, including the analysis of CCTV footage, toll plaza camera recordings, and the application of field intelligence. Kenneth had reportedly attempted to hide among beach shacks in Puducherry to avoid detection by law enforcement agencies. Following his capture, police are now conducting a comprehensive joint interrogation of both Shwetha and Kenneth. Officials stated that this process is vital to reconstruct the precise sequence of events and definitively establish the underlying factors that led to this brutal Bengaluru triple murder. The investigation remains active as authorities continue to process the evidence gathered from the scene and the statements provided by the detainees.
