In a significant development concerning the Pune murder case, the father of Ketan Agarwal has formally approached Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to demand the death penalty for those accused in his son's tragic death. The 26-year-old businessman was found to have been pushed from a 400-foot cliff at Lohagad Fort, an act initially masked as a trekking accident.

During the meeting, Vishal Agarwal emphasized his call for the maximum punishment, noting that the Chief Minister has provided assurances that the investigation will be fast-tracked. Furthermore, authorities have established a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to thoroughly examine the circumstances surrounding the Pune murder case. Investigations have revealed that the crime was a premeditated plot, reportedly involving Ketan Agarwal's fiancée, 20-year-old Siya Goyal, and her partner, Chetan Babulal Choudhary.

Uncovering the Premeditated Plot

Evidence gathered by investigators indicates that the pair spent seven months planning the elimination of Ketan Agarwal. Technical analysis of digital communication revealed that Siya Goyal and Chetan Babulal Choudhary exchanged over 2,004 phone calls, totaling approximately 238 hours of conversation. Their efforts to sabotage the relationship included hiding Ketan’s passport to prevent a scheduled pre-wedding photoshoot in Bali.

The perpetrators allegedly attempted to push the victim from Lohagad Fort on June 14, 2026, but the attempt was unsuccessful. A second attempt on June 18 proved fatal. Law enforcement officials utilized CCTV footage and technical data to piece together the events, noting suspicious behavior from a hooded man seen shadowing the couple. The lack of genuine grief displayed by Siya Goyal also drew scrutiny from the victim's family and investigators.

Pravin Goyal, the father of the accused, has expressed profound distress regarding the allegations. Despite his health challenges following the news, he has publicly stated that anyone found guilty of this crime must face the strictest legal consequences, regardless of their relation to him. As the Pune murder case continues to unfold, the legal system prepares to address the gravity of these charges. The focus remains on ensuring justice for the family of Ketan Agarwal as the judicial process accelerates under the supervision of state authorities.
