Thirty-nine students from the Kothapeta constituency in Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Konaseema district have secured admission into IIITs, marking a significant milestone in local educational progress following various government-led reforms and infrastructure improvements in schools.

A group of 39 students from the Kothapeta constituency in the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Konaseema district have achieved academic success by securing seats in prestigious IIITs. This accomplishment underscores the rising educational standards and the efficacy of recent academic initiatives within the region. These successful candidates represent various parts of the constituency, with 15 students from Kothapeta mandal, 11 from Atreyapuram mandal, 8 from Alamuru, and 5 from Ravulapalem.
Celebrating Academic Achievement in Konaseema
To honor this milestone, Kothapeta MLA Bandaru Satyananda Rao organized a meeting in Ravulapalem on Monday to congratulate the students. During the event, the MLA emphasized that the path to this success was paved by the dedication of the students, the persistent efforts of their teachers, and the vital encouragement provided by their parents. He noted that the academic landscape has shifted significantly over the years, highlighting that earlier periods were marked by a lack of necessary infrastructure in local schools and hostels.
Reflecting on these improvements, the MLA noted that systematic progress in school and hostel facilities began to take root under the leadership of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, starting from 1995. Current efforts have been bolstered by substantial educational reforms, including rigorous teacher recruitment drives, a streamlined counseling process, and a sharpened focus on infrastructure development within government institutions.
Government Initiatives Driving Educational Success
The MLA further credited the proactive involvement of the Education Minister, Nara Lokesh, for implementing meaningful qualitative reforms. According to local officials, these changes have been instrumental in revitalizing the state education system. The focus on quality instruction, combined with a strategic 100-day plan, has resulted in impressive outcomes in the Class X examinations.
Several government-backed welfare schemes are also contributing to this environment of success. Programs such as the Dokka Seethamma Midday meal programme and the Sarvepalli Radhakrishna Vidyardhi Mitra kits scheme were cited as key components in supporting student retention and well-being. During the interaction, the students shared their experiences, noting how the guidance provided by their educators played a crucial role in sharpening their talents and helping them secure seats in IIITs. This collective success story highlights the potential of students from Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Konaseema district when provided with the right resources and academic support.
