The beneficiaries under the Annapurna Yojana 2026 must be women aged between 25 and 60 years. However, certain conditions will apply where government employees or those receiving government pensions are exempted from the scheme. Additionally, individuals who pay income tax fall outside its ambit.

In a bid to empower economically vulnerable women, this program was designed with comprehensive assistance in mind. By providing financial support directly into their bank accounts, it aims to alleviate financial burdens and ease daily living expenses for eligible women.

How to Apply for Annapurna Yojana 2026

The online application process has been scheduled to begin on June 1, 2026. To apply, interested women should log onto the official Annapurna Yojana portal and submit their necessary documents, including Aadhaar Card, Ration Card, mobile number, and Proof of Residence.

Upon submission, officials will scrutinize the applications to verify each woman's eligibility. Block Development Officers (BDOs) in rural areas and Sub-Divisional Magistrates (SDMs) in urban areas will handle this verification process before forwarding the list of eligible women to District Administration for final approval.

The online portal application ensures minimal physical effort on the part of applicants, making it a convenient solution. The process is designed not only to benefit the eligible candidates but also to streamline government operations in allocating financial assistance economically.
