Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has officially launched the registration process for the 2026 edition of its highly anticipated TCS InQuizitive competition. This flagship inter-school event is now welcoming applications from students residing in Hyderabad, offering them a unique platform to test their knowledge and stay ahead in an increasingly technology-driven world.
Now celebrating its 28th year, the competition has firmly established itself as a premier academic challenge for young learners. The initiative is specifically designed for students ranging from Grade 8 to Grade 12, including those enrolled in junior college or pre-university programs. The 2026 TCS InQuizitive series will span 12 major cities, including Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai, Pune, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Bhubaneswar, Kochi, Indore, Nagpur, and Hyderabad. Following local rounds, the most successful teams will advance to the semi-finals and ultimately compete in the national grand finale held in Mumbai.
Expanding Horizons with TCS InQuizitive
The program emphasizes a gamified learning experience covering a diverse array of subjects. While the quiz traditionally explores topics like sports, entertainment, education, advertising, and business trends, this year brings an even greater focus on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) disciplines. Participants can expect to tackle questions centered on artificial intelligence, biometrics, cloud computing, robotics, and advanced automation.
Sudeep Kunnumal, Chief Human Resources Officer at TCS, noted the significance of such initiatives in light of India’s growing role in the global artificial intelligence landscape. Citing data from Stanford University's 2025 Global AI Vibrancy Tool, he highlighted that India has become the world’s third most competitive nation in artificial intelligence. TCS remains dedicated to cultivating a robust AI-led ecosystem that fosters innovation and inclusion. By engaging the younger generation through TCS InQuizitive, the company aims to ignite curiosity and build the necessary foundation for students to contribute to a prosperous, self-reliant nation.
This initiative builds upon a rich, two-decade legacy of quizzing platforms hosted by the company, which first began with the TCS IT Wiz in 1999. Given its history of drawing high participation from educators, parents, and students alike, the 2026 edition is expected to see significant interest. Last year, Hyderabad recorded impressive engagement, with 233 teams from 30 different schools participating, and the Army Public School emerging as the local winner. Interested students are encouraged to register promptly to participate in this prestigious competition.
